Is Ethereum dying?

By TwoDogsCaged | TwoDogsCaged | 14 May 2025

As I have been involved in and interested in cryptocurrency for a little over three years, I have generally accepted that Ethereum is a fine cryptocurrency as what appeared to be the general consensus.

Now, full disclosure, I have invested in Ethereum, so I hope my thoughts are not accurate. I have been reading about various cryptocurrencies, and at times I have read some concerns about the long term viability of Ethereum. What I have learned over the years is that you can find a confirming theory that the cryptocurrency you like is great, and competing articles stating it is dying. I generally take both with a grain of salt.

However, looking at my investments since the election of 2024, Ethereum seems to have lagged behind. Nothing seems to be happening with it, and it seems to not be developing in the rights direction.

I do believe at least on cryptocurrency that people today think will never fail will. I hope it is not Ethereum, I just have a feeling it will be.

Again, these are my general thoughts today, and I am curious to what other's think.

I will revisit this post in the future with a laugh at how wrong it was, or I will write an article re-addressing it if it fails.

Here's to the crypto future!

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
