I have been thinking about the general state of the economy. It is down and the stock market is officially in a bear market. So is cryptocurrency.
The stock market is like a fully developed adult. We understand what it is and accept it and trust it whether we should or not. Cryptocurrency on the other hand is an infant, in it's first few weeks of life. We do not fully understand what it is, what it can be, or what it will become.
We tend to trust adults, they have gone through it, the ups and downs, and we know it is generally reliable. There are few schemes and globally fraudulent companies regarding stocks, so we generally trust them as we do adults. They have gone through it already. I mean, no one questions Amazon when it lost over ONE TRILLION dollars in valuation as a company in the past few months. If that was a cryptocurrency, the sky would be falling. If it is Amazon, no one blinks an eye. This is as it should be though.
When cryptocurrency loses valuation, it is evidence for the short sighted that there is no future for cryptocurrency. I agree with those people to some degree, that with the field in it's infancy, that many, if not the majority of the thousands of cryptocurrency projects will go to zero. However, the MYTH that cryptocurrency will all go to zero is just that, a MYTH.
The reality is that Cryptocurrency as a whole is hear to stay. We need to weed out the fraudsters and the hucksters for the strong, honest and healthy.
My entire premise is that you put value into something with real tangible value. There are cryptocurrencies that have proven value. Some don't and those will continue to provide the naysayers with reason to naysay (is that a thing).
