Cryptocurrency: Ethereum's Shanghai Hard Fork

Cryptocurrency: Ethereum's Shanghai Hard Fork

A game changer?

A trigger to the moon?

A catalyst for the entire market?

Or just window dressing that gets over shadowed like "The Merge," their proof of work to proof of stake upgrade did in 2022?

To be honest, as I am a little pleasantly surprised by the current market increases (Ethereum, as with many other cryptocurrencies are up in 2023), there is some caution about whether these increases are a mirage, or the beginning of the end of the crypto winter.

The Shanghai hard fork is supposed to allow for individual owners of Ethereum access to their Ethereum on the blockchain, that has been inaccessible for months. To me, this is another sign of positive momentum in the overall cryptocurrency space, let alone great news for Ethereum.

The Shanghai had fork is planned for March. If the current trend continues through March 2023 with the market continuing to grow, I believe this will have an important and positive effect, if the current trend reverses to the downtrend of 2022, it will be a simple blip on the radar.

I love when improvements are made. I am fascinated by cryptocurrencies, and am loving the growth in the space, even during the winter!

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
