I have been thinking about all of the things that have been happening with inflation and banking recently. My thoughts are about whether or not I regret not investing more in Bitcoin in December 2022. I wrote at the time about (my opinion) that it was the last best time to invest in cryptocurrency.
I wrote about Bitcoin being around $17,000 and how a year or so ago people would have been very happy to pay that price. I didn't, and probably should have. Then again, I didn't invest when it as $5 either.
I don't invest emotionally, so I didn't invest as it was not a good time for me. I still think with Bitcoin being at around $27,000 today it is still a great long-term investment. I am just not sure if I can do it with the way the economy is.
At the time, as I am now I am choosing to invest in other things, things that I think have a chance to provide some more value but include more risk.
I think, as I have written about, regulation is coming soon, and will be good for the long term. I think when it hits in the US, the crypto market will crash. That is what I am waiting for. That is when I chose to go in. I will not regret it if it does not happen, but will be happy if it does. I believe in the long term value of cryptocurrency (something I could not say one-year ago) and am thinking long-term. I will not and have not invested out of emotions.
A reminder, these are just my thoughts and not investing advice. Do or don't invest in anything you want to. I just suggest you make good decisions.
