Wallet/Exchange talk

Wallet/Exchange talk

By ETHNomad | TheETHNomad's Blog | 27 Mar 2021

So I want to talk about wallets and exchanges for a minute and briefly explain my journey into crypto. So I first started buying crypto on the infamous Robinhood platform in February of 2020. I started buying dogecoin when it was roughly .0016 in price. Once the crypto boom happened and Musky blew doge out of the water I saw returns I honestly didnt expect to see. Now I didnt get screwed by robinhood but I read all of the backlash from WSB. Then for the first time I really started questioning the security of my crypto and ownership. Now I'm not going to sit here as I write this and tell you I know the best exchange or wallet because opinions are subjective. But I will tell you that I impulsively switched to coinbase after I withdrew my funds. To be quite frank I absolutely hate Coinbase, From the fees to the crappy interface and non existent customer service. I cant even tell you any more research would have done me any good.

So I guess the point I'm getting at is that research wont find you the best exchange or wallet. I'm still in the process of finding the exchange and wallet tailored to me. The best way to find a good exchange is simply through trial and error. Dont listen to every review and reddit horror story. Dont sink a whole lot into something you are unsure about until youve fully used it and given it a fair amount of time. I'm hoping this may help someone new to investing. I'm going to give Voyager a chance next and ill be trying the ledger wallet. I'll review them in another blog post later on. Anyways, live long and prosper friends :)
