Space Weather Solar Flare Bitcoin Crash Cryptocurrency Enemy

Space Weather Crashing Bitcoin?

As if times could not get any crazier or stranger then they ever have been in our World's history.

Trevor comes in to prepare us for the worst as there is more yet still to come in this adventure...

This is not entirely negative though!

Like all of my articles, I come from good intentions in hopes that if even just one person takes the time to read this blasphemy.

It will at least reignite the inner mechanisms of your brain to be like, "Oh crap! I forgot about that!" or "Oh crap! I never thought about that!".

In no way should this create excruciating fear!

It is only meant to prepare us for the inevitable and go over the possibilities of a certain type of scenario we may face any day now.

Though, it is also entirely possible that we may never face this in our lifetime, however, in lifetimes to come it is imminent.

Space Weather

Ah yes! Good ol' fashion Space Weather!

The realization of Space Weather has led scientists across the globe to observe what we call Space Weather that occurs just outside of Earth's Atmosphere.

It occurs beyond of course too in other parts of the universe which has led researchers to collect quite a lot of data on this phenomenon.

One that may come to mind already are simply called "Meteor Showers"!

Although these are considered to be part of Space Weather since they pose obvious threats to Earth and our civilization. (Poor Dinosaurs 😭)

Meteorites & Asteroids are actually not quite as threatening as we would think!

Especially when it comes to Bitcoin!

NASA and Space Researchers across the globe have already long prepared for this sort of natural disaster.

For the most part, we can see them coming while using highly complicated mathematical skills to predict where they will end up.

Thank freaking goodness for Math, right?

Well...

What other types of Space Weather could there possibly be that would cause the economy and Bitcoin to tank?

Maybe black holes or wormholes come to mind!

Except that even those are largely observed, studied, and found in places that could not harm something as far away as our planet.

Yes, you may have already guessed this before even attempting to read this right now, but the most likely culprit of reigning almost unpredictable terror.

This threat comes in the form of Space Weather that we mostly consider as what has helped us grow!

The Sun!

The Sun, as many know, plays an important role in our survival by helping things grow and casting light when we need it every day.

We have even harnessed the Sun's energy to create solar power that often is used to mine Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies!

Now I am not drawing out this article to tell you what you may already know, so please bear with me...

Many of us already know that Suns, or in other words "Stars", in the Universe are susceptible to exploding.

Thus creating those cool little shooting star effects we see in the night sky occasionally!

Although that could happen as well, it is still not quite what I am referring to here today.

Solar Flares

You are probably thinking "Finally, he spit it out!".

Yes, I did finally spit it out and when the Sun eventually decides to "Spit it out" too.

If we are not prepared, the Sun might hock a loogie on us we were never ready for!

Solar Flares are in researchers category of Space Weather because it is nearly unpredictable and can occur at any moment.

Since the flares travel at the speed of light the Sun's blast would reach Earth in around 8 minutes.

8 freaking minutes!

So they are pretty much unpredictable as far as we know AND they leave us very little time to react.

How does a Solar Flare relate to Bitcoin crashing then?

The answer is broad because it depends on how intense a Solar Flare's blast would be.

Which adds another layer of uncertainty to this matter.

Unpredictable, no time to react, and no way of knowing how strong it would be.

Sheesh!

Now to save us all some time and headache I want to first get the worst possible outcome out of the way and then share the second-worst outcome.

The worst possible outcome of this would involve everyone dying of radiation poisoning from the blast.

Which then of course Bitcoin would mean nothing since everyone is dead! (Thanks Trevor for staying so positive! ✌)

The scenario I am getting at is the outcome that is more likely where everyone survives!

Now it is possible that a Solar Flare does absolutely no damage whatsoever.

In fact, we have had many solar flares happen over the course of our life that no one has ever even noticed.

However, in some of these Solar Flares, we have seen these blasts take out small portions of critical infrastructure.

Critical infrastructure such as technology-driven machines like electrical power grids, communications, and servers.

Solar Flares to that degree take out only certain portions of very small areas around the globe.

Usually on the broad side of the globe that is facing the Sun when the blast occurs.

In the event that a Solar Flare occurs with just the right strength and/or accuracy.

It could very well take out something like Internet Service Provider, or a Power Plant!

It is possible it may fry your computer and/or your phone but not your neighbors.

Even worse, if there is just the right sort of blast with the right amount of strength.

It could potentially take out all technology even on the dark side of the Globe that is not facing the Sun!

In any of these cases, it would be bad for anything and anyone especially Bitcoin which revolves around being completely digital.

Even if you had Bitcoin stored offline on a USB stick for cold storage...

Why?

With Solar Flares strong enough the radiation from the blast has the potential to fry and corrupt your cute little Ledger Nano stick.

So when you recover from the blast and go to check your Bitcoin.

You would find that all that money and hard work you spent investing turned to slush in a matter of only 8-minutes.

At that point, you might finally start agreeing with the whole "Cash Is King" thing.

Everything Digital is susceptible to Solar Flares bringing devastation.

Which makes you wonder if there is such a thing as Crypto Insurance for Natural Disaster Relief. (Don't steal that business idea, I said it first! 😆)

Solar Flares could potentially suck big time for you, and it seems like something that is impossible to prepare for.

However!

Simply knowing this is possible and keeping it in the back of your mind will at least help a little bit!

Especially when it comes to making financial decisions even outside of Bitcoin.

It is a solid reminder that we should always have a plan because even the most unlikely and unthinkable risks could happen at any time.

Now I am not going to leave us completely hanging!

Scientists and researchers have been observing Space Weather and Solar Flares for decades now.

With historical data, many have come to believe that there is such a thing as a Sun Clock!

This is good news when it comes to preparedness for such an event.

The Sun Clock is not the Sun Dial thing those crazy Cleopatra Egyptians used back in the day.

A "Sun Clock" has, with high potential, the ability to determine when our beautiful Sun is "Calm" or "Angry".

I will leave the resource for details but basically it means that we have maybe come up with a system that could help us prepare.

(source: https://scitechdaily.com/new-sun-clock-quantifies-cycle-of-extreme-space-weather-with-astonishing-precision/)

Although it may not be able to predict exactly when or how strong a Solar Flare may be.

It does give us a window into when the events of a Solar Flare are more likely to occur.

The bad news with this "Sun Clock" and why I am writing about it today.

This news is that this so-called Sun Clock is predicting that the Sun is shifting from Calm to Angry very soon.

It could have already happened too and we may already be in the new days of an angrier Sun.

Greeeeeat.... Just what 2020 needed! 🙄

When the Sun is on the Calmer side of things it is believed to not create as many or as intense Solar Flare-ups.

When the Sun is on the Angrier side of the bed it is believed to create more Solar Flares with the possibility they are stronger as well.

Interestingly enough too, these mood swings the Sun has are not entirely bipolar.

They are said to occur every 11-years so around about a decade.

If this is true and 2020 marks the year of a shift from Calm to Angry (and it certainly does feel that way given all the craziness going on).

Then that would mean we are in for 11 years of withstanding an Angry Sun until the year 2031.

Which only means that the likelihood of a Solar Flare taking out your neighborhood increases.

Be prepared people!

It could be a long 11-years before we see the Sun calm down if the Science is true and doesn't change.

In any event, with uncertainty, comes surviving and with surviving comes preparedness for anything to happen.

Bitcoin is certainly not the final answer to solving all of our problems, however, it is most certainly better than most.

Having a balance between the digital world and the physical world will always be most important!

Stay safe, thank you for reading, and stay skeptical! ♥
