[PL] Klasyczna przeprawa szybką łodzią miała być drobnostką, a okazała się horrorem. Zamiast 2 godzin płynęliśmy 4 godziny. Gdy w połowie rejsu członek załogi zaczął rozdawać pasażerom czarne woreczki, wiedziałem że lekko nie będzie. Dodatkowo kazał zapiąć pasy. Gdy łódź natrafiała na ogromne fale było słychać charakterystyczne skrzypienie, i wyłączano wtedy silniki. Następowało silne tąpnięcie, podnosiło nas z foteli, po czym z hukiem spadaliśmy na nie z powrotem, i tak przez 4 godziny.

[PL] Gdy dotarliśmy na wyspę nasze twarze były zielone. Pierwsza myśl po takiej przeprawie - muszę się napić wódki. Podziałało, po mniej więcej godzinie, powróciło dobre samopoczucie i apetyt. Uff

[EN] The symbol of the island is a bird, namely the starling, which has its monument there. There is a legend related to this bird. Apparently, this starling living on the island had the ability to sing and mimic the human voice. The name of the island comes from the syllables of 2 Malay words: "tiong" is the name of a bird that can speak like a human and the words "teman" or friend. This is how the name of the island, i.e. Tioman, was created.

[PL] Symbolem wyspy jest ptak, a dokładnie Szpak, który ma tam swój pomnik. Z ptakiem tym związana jest pewna legenda. Podobno ten szpak żyjący na wyspie, posiadał zdolności do śpiewu i naśladowania ludzkiego głosu. Nazwa wyspy pochodzi od sylab 2 malajskich słów: „tiong” to nazwa ptaka który potrafi mówić jak człowiek oraz słowa „teman” czyli przyjaciel. Tak powstała nazwa wyspy czyli Tioman.
