Today is the next and last edition of the story about Skansen in the city of Chorzów. Too much material gathered to fit everything in one post, so I broke it into two stories telling about completely different aspects.

Dzisiaj kolejna i ostatnia odsłona opowieści o Skansenie w mieście Chorzów. Zbyt dużo materiału uzbierało się, aby zmieścić wszystko w jednym poście, dlatego rozbiłem to na dwie relacje opowiadające o zupełnie różnych aspektach.

This unusual place, located in the price of a heavily developed city, makes us forget about the world around us. At our fingertips we have concrete buildings, the entire urban infrastructure, the hustle and bustle. But it is enough to immerse yourself in the Silesian Ethnographic Park in Chorzów to move to a completely different time and region.

To nietypowe miejsce ulokowane w niemalże w cen mocno rozbudowanego miasta powoduje, że możemy zapomnieć o otaczającym nas świecie. Na wyciągnięcie ręki mamy betonowe budynki, całą miejską infrastrukturę, zgiełk i pośpiech. Ale wystarczy zanurzyć się w Śląskim parku Etnograficznym w Chorzowie, aby przenieść się w zupełnie inne czas i inny region.

Animals on the farm

Zwierzęta w gospodarstwie

It's not a joke, because surrounded by trees and nature, it seems to us that we have moved away from the city several hundred kilometers. There is greenery everywhere, but that's not all. The Silesian Ethnographic Park is home to animals that used to be bred on farms.

To nie żart, bo otuleni drzewami i naturą wydaje się nam, że oddaliliśmy się od miasta kilkaset kilometrów. Wszędzie pełno zieleni, ale to nie wszystko. W Śląskim parku etnograficznym żyją zwierzęta hodowane niegdyś w gospodarstwach.

We find here goats, cows, chickens, rabbits, apparently there are even horses and pigs. Even potatoes are grown for the needs of animals.

Znajdziemy tu kozy, krowy, kury, króliki, podobno są nawet konie i świnie. Na potrzeby zwierząt uprawia się nawet ziemniaki.

On the day I took the photos, unfortunately, the rooms were unavailable to visitors.

W dniu w którym robiłem zdjęcia niestety pomieszczenia były niedostępne dla zwiedzających.

It wasn't much of a problem as the shutters were open and a little photo shoot could be done.

Nie stanowiło to wielkiego problemu, ponieważ okiennice były otwarte i można było zrobić małą sesję zdjęciową.

In the houses, efforts were made to preserve the furniture assigned to a given region and epoch. Beautifully set tables and beds. Articles and everyday items.

W domach starano się zachować umeblowanie przypisane danemu regionowi i epoce. Pięknie nakryte stoły, łoża. Artykuły i przedmioty codziennego użytku.

There was even a visualization of a village shop from the old days.

Zrobiono nawet wizualizację wiejskiego sklepu z dawnych czasów.

Of course, it cannot do without photos of objects from the outside, which remind me of my early childhood. I have seen such villages in Poland, and these images bring tears to my eyes.

Oczywiście nie może się obyć bez zdjęć obiektów z zewnątrz, które przypominają mi jeszcze czasy wczesnego dzieciństwa. Takie wsie widywałem w Polsce, i te obrazy powodują, że łezka kręci się w oku.
