Sydney, Australia, is a picturesque city, the oldest and largest in Australia.
The area I took this photo from is a small peninsula called Yurong Point or more commonly called Mrs Macquarie's Point. It was named after the wife of Major-General Lachlan Macquarie, Governor of New South Wales.
This area, next to the Royal Botanic Gardens is part of a larger area called "The Domain".

It's a lovely place to wander around, have a picnic, go roller blading or even go for a swim if you're that way inclined.
There is a seawater pool there, home of the Sydney Polar bears, a group who go swimming every day, all year round.
There are some lovely limestone rock formations along the waterfront.
The whole area, only a few kilometres from the CBD is full of bird life - cockatoos, rosellas, Indian Mynas and many more.
In the evenings you can catch a music concert there too.

Across the harbour is the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.
I lived and worked in Sydney for 6 years. It was a good career move, but I would never live there again. It's a beautiful city to visit, but very tiring to live there.
