Stardate 162194, we are approaching the planet formerly known as Earth. We have been watching the human historical records sent out into space for quite some time now. But this is the first expedition to Earth. To try and find out why the transmission suddenly stopped as abruptly as it began.

First impression of Earth

As we approach the planet we are eminently struck by its colors, vibrant blue and vibrant green all over. We see no sign of the humans who used to call this planet home.

We land on an island known by many names just, England, Wales are the two I can remember off the top of my head. After we had landed we spent the following two days familiarizing ourselves with our surroundings. 

We know much about human history thanks to the archive footage they sent out into space for other civilizations to find. We are especially fascinated by how they managed to bring color and sound to their world where it appeared there was non. But sadly this appears to be one of many mysteries surrounding the human species. 

Just like we can not see the need for so many instructional videos on the many different mating ways humans have. This is good because if we were to find any small pockets of humans left it would allow us to establish a breeding program for them, and maybe we can get their population back up in numbers again.

A few days later.

Exciting news we have found a digital archive of some sort, it is from Disco something. We are excited to see if we are able to recover the archived material and see what we get.

A few more days later.

While our initial excitement about having found a digital archive of Disco, a short-lived time period that I have as one of my favorites. It is filled with the greatest of sounds and colors as well as very elaborate and intricate mating dances. I was a bit disappointed to learn that in fact, the archive had nothing to do with Disco, but instead was a community of sorts called Discord.

While personally, I felt a bit of disappointment, ultimately this find loos to be of more value for us in our understanding of the humans, and maybe it holds the key to finding out what led to their demise.

Sometime later still.

During our travels back home from our expedition to Earth we have collected many finds. But the one that t by far has shown us the greatest insight into humans and their behaviors is this Archive of the Discord. Our initial analyses are now done and it has allowed us to make some really exciting discoveries.

We know a fair bit of human history and evolution thanks to the digital documentation they sent out into space. A great source for many such things is what they call the Hisdorychanel and Discovery. And humans appear to have historically been several different species, but over time these have either merged or died out due to being out-competed by other species. Leading to one dominant human species being left, the Homo Sapiens as they call it.

But our finds now show that humans might have started to diverge again. We have seen a huge number of interactions in the archives of the Discord that seem to be indicating parasitic behaviors not previously seen. Not to this extent at least. This has led us to be able to conclude that the human species, the Homo Sapiens have diverged into two separate species. 

Judging by the behaviors we have been able to find, this new species seems to be completely parasitic and lives off of its fellow humans. We have thus taken to calling it Homo Parasiticus, in keeping with the already established human nomenclature. If this rampant parasitism is what led to the demise of humans is still too early to say. But it is not something we can rule out either.

I hope you have enjoyed this hypothetical alien discovery of scammers. I thought this was a more fun way to talk about them and what they do than the normal "it is bad" way. 

I still hope I have been able to highlight the severity of the problem as I see them, but with a bit of humor instead of stories about being scammed. Stories of which there are far too many out there.
