Theta expands Media & Entertainment Ecosystem w/ First Flights

Let's start with a Theta network recap in/around Media and Entertainment (aka M&E.)

Theta has long standing relationships in the M&E industry with such titans of modern film industry as Samsung, Sony, Google, CAA, Replay (AKA Rewarded TV). Theta has leveraged these partnerships for their Theta.tv ecosystem and blockchain success to date.

Last week, Theta announced an expansion in the M&E space with First Flights to empower the next generation of Film makers.  Prior to Web3 independent film makers struggled to find the right platforms and sources of funding.  That is until First Flights came around this is their mission to help foster independent film makers.

Who is First Flights?

They have already successfully backed 15,000 filmmakers (woot), resulting in six films some of which have already scored (pun intended) BAFTA and Oscar Awards!

First Flights created a program earlier this year with up to $10,000 funding when paired with Theta decentralized video infrastructure and online premieres for their films. Theta's Enterprise DRM Technology allows protects the film maker from online copies (aka Mirrors) and theft! Another big player protection now available to smaller film makers. Here is to spreading the word and creating more protected content.
