Theta EdgeCloud lands Large EU football club (FC)
If you have followed any of my Theta blog posts for any length of time you know I pinpointed that Theta had a very weak presence in Europe. Well that all changed this week when Theta announced a partnership with Olympique de Marseille football club (FC). Know this I am super excited to share this with you!
What type of partnership did Olympique de Marseille FC sign with Theta and why?
They are seeking to fully expand their digital strategies which include using AI & blockchain. While envisioning the transformations of current offerings while opening doors to new technological innovations to enhance performance, fan engagement, and data security. Not stopping there Olympique de Marseille FC also stepped up to be a Theta’s enterprise validator. If I am not mistaken this would be Theta's first EU based Validator. Correct me if I am wrong!
Who is Olympique de Marseille football club (FC).
Back in in 1899 Olympique de Marseille was formed and they are also known as OM. They are a way of life in Marseille, some would go as far as to say it is their religion in the region. They compete at the top levels of French football, they have won several domestic and international tournaments.
Olympique de Marseille FC has already put Theta to work.
The partnership was put to quick work and Olympique de Marseille FC has already developed and released their AI powered mascot. Which is powered by Theta's EdgeCloud GPU's. The goal moving forward is full AI mascot integration into Olympique de Marseille FC webpage and their mobile App.
The AI mascot is capable of several tasks already
It can answer questions in/around trained on Ligue 1 McDonald’s and Olympique de Marseille to answer fan inquiries across multiple categories. Fans can ask questions and get valid answers back. An example is whose in tonight's line up?
From a Theta Enterprise Validator standpoint this is a major win for Theta with a major name in Europe being a Validator.
Olympique de Marseille FC joins other global namesakes such as Google, and Sony. I believe this anchor EU validator will help Theta quickly secure more EU accounts. Thus bringing a more balanced global presence for Theta.
Summary
Theta’s infrastructure brings over 30,000 decentralized GPU nodes run by the Theta community is rapidly transforming the way fans around the world connect with their favorite teams. Theta also secures a new Enterprise validator in EU which I believe they have been missing for quite awhile. Fans will reap the rewards of Theta's decentralized GPU offers too. Keep it up Theta.
