This “Rate My Push-Ups” clip was filmed on day 29 of my 33-day extended fasting process. I never set an exact number of days that I wanted to fast, because I knew my mind would start to play tricks on me to find a way out of completing my mission. Because I didn’t set an exact time and date to end my fasting process, the pressures my mind would have put on me to quit were never able to engage.
If you know me as a former bodybuilding champion or from my work as a fitness author, then you know my system of never setting repetition goals or numbers of sets to complete. This allows you to exercise more efficiently — focusing on the muscle group, not the number. We’ve all been there: you tell yourself to do 10 repetitions, and it never fails that at rep number 7, because of the self-preservation switch, your mind triggers your body to halt energy production.
Well, in case you didn’t know — if you had told your body to complete 30 repetitions, you would have likely passed the 10th rep with ease, focusing on the higher number or goal. This mental exercise takes time to develop because you’ve been counting to an end most of your life. But I will tell you this: if you want to maximize your exercise output and your overall workout health benefits — stop counting reps. Work the muscle to a higher level by tricking the mind from entering preservation mode.
You’ll see in the video that I work to complete muscle failure, which happened a bit quicker because for the past 29 days I’ve had no food and very little water. Comparatively, my workout numbers didn’t decrease as much as I thought they would. This is because while I was in my fasting process, I did a lot of research on how to pull energy directly from the ambient surroundings. Yes, I know this may sound really weird or even impossible to some of you, but it absolutely works. Every single time I think about collecting energy from the air to fuel my body, I remember Nikola Tesla and some of his free-energy inventions.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again here: I believe human beings eat too damn much, and because of it, our bodies are sick and tired more frequently than they should be. The longer I was in my fasting process, the better I felt — and oddly enough, now that I’m back to eating normally (by the time you’re reading this), I don’t feel as good. Matter of fact, since I’ve been back to eating again, I feel like my body is being poisoned. I am yearning to start fasting again, and it definitely won’t be long before I’m back at it — and for much longer this time around.
Let me talk about my push-ups a bit before I end this entry. I drink kombucha every few days, and the bottles are so heavy-duty that I hate to throw them out. I save the bottles to store clean water in — for obvious reasons. On day 29 of my fast I thought, Why not do push-ups on the bottles if I can?
“If I can.” That doubt crept in almost without me catching it. Does this ever happen to you? Maybe I had a bit of a brain fart, but I was mentally super sharp during my fasting process — being able to work with elevated focus on my new book, articles, MMAP Magazine, the Safe-IonU personal security app, etc., readying my projects for their release dates.
The moment I noticed the mental mishap, I made a course correction and said to myself, “I will do the maximum number of push-ups on these Synergy bottles as possible — and then more — because I am always focused on ADM: Always Do More, one of my legacy brands.” At that point, I began preparing my breath timing, ambient energy pull, and pain blocking to maximize my overall performance. Don’t forget to watch the video and tell me how you think I did. If you don’t believe that your mind is powerful, you would be sadly mistaken — and you simply need to test it to prove how powerful you are.
