Monero's RandomX algorithm has arrived for NiceHash Miner

Monero (XMR) is one of the first cryptocurrencies that fell in love with.  Its privacy-centric solutions lend to better use cases than many other coins on the market.  As with almost every other coin that can be mined, ASICs started to enter the Monero ecosystem and rapidly dominated the hashrate.

Despite Monero developers trying to squeeze out ASIC's with hard forks (CryptoNightR, CryptoNight v7, etc.) they keep coming back.  In this ongoing battle towards ASIC resistance, the devs will unleash their newest weapon on November 20, 2019 (tomorrow).  The new algorithm is called RandomX, and it is designed to use random code execution and memory-hard techniques that will essentially make ASIC's and GPU's ineffective for mining Monero.

The exciting news is that v1.9.2.18 for NiceHash Miner was just released 5 hours ago at the time of writing.  The newest release has added support for RandomX.

Good luck with the update, and happy HODLing!
