Ripple CTO David Schwartz warned of a bitcoin fraud targeting Unstoppable Domains users again. The warning occurs in one of his normal X blogs, but he refers another post revealing the fake emails.
X user Arijit shared David Schwartz's article via an email. Unstoppable Domains users received an email saying a "$UDOM" token is active and for claims.
Name service pioneer Unstoppable Domains is well-known. It remains significant, although its publicity has declined in recent months. The phony utility token projection raises hokders' aspirations. Arijit breached the veil to reveal that the project has not announced anything. The Ripple CTO acknowledged this fishy effort, saying the URL will take you to the fraudulent project's website. Some community members assumed this was a joke, but the advice to avoid phishing sites stuck.
Both the digital currency ecosystem and market fraudsters are developing quickly. Most crypto scams involve dishonesty, but Ripple's CTO and other crypto executives have constantly advised customers about the current scams and how to avoid them.
Impersonation is another common fraud for investors, along with phishing. Famous crypto leaders like David Schwartz and Brad Garlinghouse are often impersonated. With the rise of AI deepfake, fraudsters have increased their efforts to make their scam appear more plausible. Unstoppable Domains indicates these frauds will persist despite the market collapse.
