The covid19 pandemic has proven to be the catalyst
for many untimely changes in our world. One of the
many changes is the complete revamping of the way
people exchange value. It has been very evident for
some time now that society was moving in that direction, 
but no one knew for sure when we would arrive.
Now thanks to newly emerging payment systems such
as PopPay, I can say with confidence that the future is now.

This particular contactless payment option uses
the PopID to verify and make payments via facial
recognition technology. This type of payment option
is now operational in Los Angeles and it so happens to
be the very first facial recognition payment system
to launch in America.

Personally I had believed that the next payment system
to be adopted by the USA and other counties would
be payment Apps via smartphones such as Samsung Pay
or Kakoa Pay that is being used in Korea right now.
But it seems like America is exploring all options and
taking the lead in digital transaction innovation.
