Explosion and Fire in DC!

This morning was quiet the spectacle  to say the least! I live roughly a block and a half from where the green zone is for the inauguration. Across the street from my building is Child Services Station of the DC Police. When I left my apartment to walk 0.2 miles to Starbucks I ran into this...

According to what I over heard there was reports of en explosion before the fire. It could not have been that loud because I was awake in my building and heard nothing.

The whole block was shut down but I was allowed to enter my building since I do live there. Bomb dogs and tons of cops were filling the area and searching. It is a crazy time for be certain! Hopefully we find out more information soon as I will go look at the area when I can.

Is this the beginning of a reoccurring theme is the question I have. At a minimum there was a fire and that in itself is suspicious. I could not tell if it was the dog park that was on fire or if it was under the bridge. Stay safe out there everyone !
