Terraria - Why it is better Minecraft

Terraria - Why it is better MineCraft

The success of Minecraft is due to many reasons. The focus on an open world and freedom of creation, the targeting of a primarily younger audience and the popularity of the game on many sites.

But not everyone who knows Minecraft will know Terraria. It's a 2D sandbox game developed by independent studio Re-Logic. Unlike Minecraft, Terraria has a specific goal, I mean great fighting Bosses or expanding your home by bringing in NPCs, but we are not obliged to do anything like that. We can just dig, fight and build!

But Terraria is not just a sandbox. As I mentioned, we don't have an imposed storyline, but somewhere between the blocks of the world it scrolls. And sooner or later we'll stand up to fight monsters bigger than ourselves, start building houses for our NPCs and notice that the game is even better to play.

Moon Lord - Boss in Terraria

The world is very plastic, but without exaggeration. In the game we can find world levels, resources, flying islands, cave houses. The character creation itself is very diverse. Just as every world in Minecraft is different, creating two of the same characters borders on the miraculous. We have many types of weapons (including upgrades), armour, tools or special items at our disposal.

Example base you can build in Terraria

The only thing the creators of Terraria require from you is to explore. Exploring the world really does play first fiddle. Jars in caves contain coins, arrows and bombs. Even lower down, chests hide accessories to help you survive or...jump higher. And when you're deep enough, you can find abandoned houses with even better equipment!

It is this quest, exploring the world that puts (at least in my opinion) Terraria a level above Minecraft.
