The Cliffs of Mesa Verde

Liking An Idea More Than Reality.

I doubt large percentages of populations around the world have never heard about Mesa Verde, it is the impressive alcoves situated in Colorado cliffs in the United States. Recently I came across an Article in the Smithsonian magazine, which made me recall seeing similar or the same photos when I was a child and thinking solely about how amazing it was for people to have fabricated these dwellings at Mesa Verde. They are are all made mostly out of sandstone bricks and mortar and they do overall look very fascinating, although now that I am older I definitely feel I am not held in as much awe.

I noticed this for myself after having watched some footage of the site, leading me to conclude I would rather visit another place amongst all the wonders on earth. As a result of my reasoning I believe this is an example of something where I had been more interested in the idea more than the reality, moreover I should state how I may have lost my original interest in tree or play houses.

Disregarding my personal thoughts for a moment, the site was historically habituated by Pueblo Indians who lived off the land and drew artwork on the cliff’s faces; they had lived like so for at least eight hundred years until they were discovered and for lack of a better term, plundered away. It is now a national park and a place I recommend anyone visits; I am simply convinced younger adults are most likely to enjoy the site, or park.
