The search interest in Bitcoin in Kenya and Brazil reveals the Google Trends data collected by Blockchaincenter.net.
An interactive map showing the extent of global interests in cryptocurrencies shows that searches for Bitcoin are most concentrated in African and South American countries.
According to the map published on Blockchaincenter.net, information from Google Trends shows that search interest in Africa is dominated by Bitcoin (BTC). 94.7% of all cryptocurrencies-related searches - like BTC, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), IOTA, Litecoin (LTC), Monero (XMR), XRP and Tron (TRX) - for Bitcoin in Kenya, while Nigeria and South Africa have strong 89.4% and 89% respective.

Adoption of crypto in Africa
The search shows that African countries will be key crypto players in the future. The Nigerian House of Representatives' chairman Cointelegraph reported that in July 2019 a substantive legal framework was requested for cryptocurrencies.
But South Africa owns 13 percent of Africa's crypto-currency, the highest among internet users in the region. In April, the financial regulator of the country issued a policy document stating that the cryptographic assets and virtual currency activities "can no longer be outside the regulatory perimeter."
Bitcoin Pandemic Response
South America had four most 'Bitcoin Maximalists' countries in the top ten to three in Africa. Brazil had 92.6 percent of the largest search interest in BTC, while Chile and Ecuador were roughly 89 percent. Argentina had 87.7 percent of the lowest interest among the top ten in the region.
The coronavirus pandemic in these nations seemed to raise the demand for cryptography. Cointelegraph reported in April that the BTC peer-to - peer trading volume had reached all-time highs in Argentina , Chile and Venezuela.
Venezuela did not make the top ten on the above list, but BTC 's regional search value remained at 75.2 percent. The recent concern may be due to the suspension as part of quarantine steps of the national banking system.
