Hello everyone, Lester here! It's time again for Splinterlands Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge! How's your recent battles? Good? Bad? Meh? While you're not sure yet on what is your next strategy, check out my entry to SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! TENYII STRIKER.
For this post, let's review one of the Fire Cards from Chaos Legion - Tenyii Striker. I will be also sharing one of my battles using this card. But before going through the details, let us check first this card's stat and lore.
Tenyii Striker
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: RARE
Element: FIRE
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: SNEAK AT LVL 1, DODGE AT LVL 4, BACKFIRE AT LVL 7
A dozen generations sandwiched between the hammer of the Khans' cruelty and the anvil of the icy foothills of Kurguzd forged the Tenyii into reclusive deadly foes. Brought to the training creche from birth, taught to steal for food, beaten when caught and trained daily with the sword and spear as soon as they were strong enough for their hands to lift steel, the Tenyii clan were hard as iron and as fierce and silent as midnight on the mountain glacier.
When the Legion's heralds demanded a sacrifice of flesh and gold to open the rifts to the ways beyond, the Khan sent five hundred waadin berserkers to bring the tribe to heel. When a single horse returned bearing a sack of fifty skulls, the Khan threatened to burn the entire mountain to the ground. A dozen Tenyii Strikers were sent as tribute to spare the tribes and to satisfy the herald's call... (Tenyii Striker Lore)
Tenyii Striker Card Review
Tenyii Striker for me is one of those cards that has balance HP, Attack Power and Speed. At level 1, it has 2 Melee Attack, 2 Speed and 6 HP and it costs 5 mana to summon. The attack power is good but considering that there are Fire Summoners that buff Melee Attack. Given these stats, how and when should we use Tenyii Striker?
To maximize the use of this card, you need to know the right configuration. Let's start with the Summoners. Most of the time, I am playing in Modern Ranked games in Bronze and Silver League and since Tenyii Striker is a Melee Attack card, I would say that Tarsa is the perfect Summoner to be used that can provide +1 Melee Attack and +1 HP. My next bet is Pyre that provides +1 Speed which is very handy in eliminating first the opponent's monsters. For monster compatibility, I will go use Tenyii Striker with other monsters with Sneak ability like Sand Worm, Uraeus, Elven Cutthroat. This way my back line attackers will only focus on a single target. I will also try using this card with monsters with Opportunity ability like Serpentine Spy and Parasitic Growth for other option of attacking back line cards.
How about the Rulesets?
For me these are the Rulesets that are most compatible with Tenyii Striker.
RISE OF THE COMMONS
Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.
Tenyii Striker is a Rare monster and for me it already has a good set of stats for a Rare card. So with this ruleset, wherein Epic and Legendary Monsters are not allowed, Rare cards will dictate the flow of the game.
SILENCED SUMMONERS
Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.
And since Tenyii Striker can already hold its ground because of its stats, I think it is ok to use this card even without the buff from its summoner.
UP CLOSE & PERSONAL
Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.
Tenyii Striker has a Sneak ability at Level 1 and this is a huge advantage because it can attack at any position.
Battle Challenge Line Up Here is the line-up I used in this battle challenge. In this battle, the rulesets are Equalizers and Broken Arrows which means that all monsters will have the same base HP and no Ranged Attack monster can be used. The mana cap is 28 and Fire and Life elements can be used. Because of the ruleset, I used Fire element configuration because my Life elements are mostly Ranged Attack monsters. Also, some of the attackers in my Fire element has low HP, so the ruleset will be beneficial to them.

My Summoner is a Level 2 Tarsa that provides +1 Melee Attack and +1 HP and these will be beneficial to Tenyii Striker because it's a Melee Attack card.

My Tank in this line up is a Level 3 Antoid Platoon which has the Shield Ability and a perfect ability for a tank. This card will prevent frontal attacks to directly hit my Tenyii Striker.

My card in Position 2 is Disintegrator. It can't do much in terms of Damage but it can debuff the enemy Melee Attack power which if the only attack power is 1, the enemy will not deal damage to Antoid Platoon.

My card in Position 3 is Tenyii Sriker. So while Antoid Platoon is tanking the frontal damage, its role is to sneak behind and eliminate back line monsters. It will receive a +1 Melee Attack from Tarsa which will aide him in dealing more damage to the enemy.

My card in Position 4 is Serpentine Spy. This is good card to use in Equalizer ruleset because initially, it has 1 HP only. This card will do the final blow on back line monsters and will do work side by side with Tenyii Striker

My card in Position 5 is Radiated Scorcher which is more of a filler card in this line up. It has only 1 mana cost and the Equalizer ruleset will make this card a useful tank for enemy with Sneak ability.

My card in the last Position is Parasitic Growth. Actually, this is a mistake on my end. Radiated Scorcher should be at the last position instead of Parasitic Growth so that in can shield my main back line attackers. Parasitic Growth will help Tenyii Striker in eliminating back line monsters of the enemy.
The Battle The enemy also used Tarsa as the Summoner and putting Exploding Rats in Position 1 is a good idea since its low HP will be the same with the rest of the monsters plus it has Blasts ability.

In Round 1, Tenyii Striker dealt 3 damage to Venari Spellsmith

In Round 2, Tenyii Striker didn't receive any damage and was able to dealt another 3 damage to Venari Spellsmith which was later eliminated by Serpentine Spy.

In Round 3, Tenyii Striker moved to the next target and dealt 3 damage to the opponent's Tenyii Striker.

In Round 4, Tenyii Striker dealth the final blow to the enemy's Tenyii Striker.

In Round 5, Tenyii Striker destroyed Uraeus shield.

In Round 6, Tenyii Striker was able to dealt 3 damage to Uraeus.

And in Round 7, Tenyii Striker and Serpentine Spy annihilated Uraeus

And finally, in Round 8, Tenyii Striker dealt the final blow and team won the battle.

Did my strategy work? Yes, my strategy worked just fine. Antoid Platoon and Disintegrator provided enough support for my back line attackers to deal enough damage to the enemy. Also, Tenyii Striker is in synergy with my other back line attackers and the lead me to won the battle.
What will I try differently next time?
Since most of the time, I am using Tarsa for my Fire Element, I would like to try Yodin Zaku with Tenyii Striker together with a bunch of monsters with Opportunity and Sneak ability, given that the ruleset will not allow Ranged Attack monsters.
