Hello folks in this post we shall discuss the concept of torrent and how blockchain has had an impact on it. Torrent or torrenting is a network of p2p nodes existing over many servers, enabling the user to download and share large files in a relativly short period. Torrenting is still used today to share files but was quite a common thing just a while back. Blockchain and torrent systems like Bitorrent have a lot more n common than just the B. The architecture is quite similar whilst the purpose is quite different.

Just a while back, in fact these two very similar looking systems shook hands via the Tron project (https://tron.network). A project of remarkable size and scale and a big boon for the crypto community.

Blockchain can and does have immense impact on file sharing and file storage services, for it tokenizes the process making the system more transparent and reduces the chance of piracy and other illegal activities. Thus the joining of these two projects is bound to usher a new era in file sharing.
