Building this home for the solitary bees has given them a better home to build their dwellings in. During early April they were scrambling to fill the holes. Honestly I got it to them a little late though they did fill up most of the bamboo homes so not worried.

I think they like the cover from the elements and predators. I only see the bees go inside, and Luci the curious dog will try to stick her face in there but thats about it.
I discussed my bee home on a recent Steem discord radio show, and was asked if wasps and hornets are an issue. I have seen munch on the side of the homes, paper wasps want a little bit of the wood for their homes. But I do not see them moving into the homes or mess with the bees at all.
Two kinds of bees have been filling these holes, Mason bees and Resin Bees. You can tell them apart by the Resin bees yellow fuzzy abdomens.
I can run the lights when its sunny outside, but if I run them when its dark or overcast the bees get confused and tend to leave the home.
