Where To Begin?

I'm sure by now you have been quarantined and social distancing enough that you have popped the question of "What should I watch on Netflix?" If you have, then you've probably gotten the suggest to watch Tiger King. Seems like a funny name, right? Who knows what it might be about? Could be a knock-off of the Lion King, could be able to a Zoo Keeper? 

Well fortunately (or unfortunately) those guesses are both wrong. And sadly, I do not have a proper way to even describe what Tiger King truly is. My wife and I are unable to put words together in a cohesive paragraph to even begin to touch on the subject matter and theme/story of Tiger King.

But I Will Try

Keep in mind that I haven't finished watching what is on Netflix yet. We are honestly only through episode 3 and there has been so much going on that I cannot contain myself in sharing my thoughts and seeing who else has been watching.

So basically, this show is about the big cat/exotic animal rings in the United States. It seem that South East is a large hub, but surprisingly all parts of the US have people that either breed or showcase these big cats like Lions and Tigers!

Our show follows 3 of the king-pin players in this industry. A guy by the name of Joe Exotic in Oklahoma, a guy by the name of doc Ankle on the East Coast, and a woman by the name a #CaroleBaskin in Florida. All of these characters are... well... a bit exotic themselves. Each have their own style of running their zoo/sanctuary and all have their own perception from the public.

Still, these places are extremely popular and many people go there throughout the year to see and experience what big cats have to offer.

Not Saying I Agree...

By watching this documentary I am not saying I agree with the practices that these people are doing, but I am saying that it makes for a really interesting and special show on Netflix. There is so much craziness that happens throughout the the span of 2015-2020 that this show captures. It is all be recorded. It's so recent that you could almost call it live action. Because of this, I believe that there is going to be much more to come from this series.

When I finally get to the end of the episodes that are currently airing I will make sure to do another article in regards to my thoughts and feelings afterwards. I will do my best to make sure that I do not spoiling anything, and instead give a good high-level overview of the series.
