Ontario Superior Court of Justice v. Nunchuk_io
There's been so much virtual ink spilled lately about "how crypto fixes this" in regards to the Canadian government freezing the funds of the Freedom Convoy currently protesting the vaccine mandates in Ottawa. They ain't wrong. However now that boy-king and his feckless jack-booted lackies are starting to realize that while the Canuckian courts can serve up a Mareva injunction to halt transfers between banked entities, that doesn't work so well in the decentralized world of crypto.
From the Mareva injection sent to Nunchuk.io:

The official response from Nunchuck.io to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice:

This is absolutely hilarious. I am reminded years ago when I heard a U.S. Supreme Court Justice ask the question, "What's the difference between an email and a pager?" These are the types of people who are ruling on laws governing the technology the people are using. Remember kids, when the general public starts to realize that the people in charge have less intelligence than the common peasant you are ripe for a revolution. I loved Becker's line that the "Canada government is like a monkey trying to f**k a football." That's a good one, but it pales in comparison to the one straight from Nunchuk's team:
Please look up how self custody and private keys work. When the Canadian dollar becomes worthless, we will be here to serve you, too. -Nunchuk.io
Those idiots in charge damn near caused a bank run in Canada. Did you see how the major banks went "offline?" After Turdeau invoked the Emergencies Act (hasn't been used in FIFTY YEARS) the five major Canadian banks were all hit with "outages" at the same time! I wonder if that dumb ass move didn't cause a large number of Canadians to panic and try to move their money somewhere safe, eh? You don't think a full on bank run can happen in this day and age? In the immortal words of Thomas Jefferson to the King of England, "F**k around and find out."
Here's Robert Gore's take from Straight Line Logic on how serious this can get:
In fractional reserve banking, simultaneous withdrawals by enough depositors will collapse the entire system, it’s a mathematical certainty. Governments’ deposit insurance funds have only a pittance of the deposit liabilities they supposedly insure. Once those funds are depleted the government either closes the banks or informs people they’ve lost their deposits. If that happens in Canada, you’ll have a Depositors’ Insurrection joining the Truckers’ Insurrection. (See “Revolution in America,” Robert Gore, SLL, January 7, 2015 for a fuller exploration of bank runs’ revolutionary potential.) An interesting side note: there are probably a lot of Canadian police and members of the armed forces who have bank deposits.
A depositors’ revolt would hasten Trudeau’s discovery of the same truth discovered thirty-one years ago by the Soviet Union’s commissars, the sixth great truth: You can’t run a country by threatening its citizens, stealing their money and property, imprisoning them, torturing them, or executing them.
It looks to me like the little Lord Fascist Fauntleroy is playing with matches whilst sitting in his kerosene-soaked gilded crib. Is the coal tar used to make blackface paint flammable? Gee, I sure hope not! *laughs*

And Speaking of Fiat Money
I just discovered OldMoney.io this morning. This absolutely amazing project is a "premature monument to paper currency" with NFTs printed just like the funny money was that's in your Velcro "Diff'rent Strokes" wallet. Our fiat monetary system might be burning up before our very eyes but the notes sure as hell are good for making incredible NFT works of art, that's for damn sure!
This is the first thing on the Cardano blockchain I've seen that has truly impressed me and, in fact, you might want to start being nicer to your mistress's husband so he will share some of his $ADA with you so you can buy one. Personally, I would just ask him if he could pay you back in $ADA for picking up his wife's bar tab at Applebee's (f'kn Mai Tais are expensive if it's not happy hour!)
If this is your first time seeing this project, be sure to stop by "Yew Nork" and check it out!
