This week's Splinterlands Challenge of the Week was to showcase the Temporal Master from the Life Splinter...

This is a low mana card with one magic damage but both low speed and health at only 2 each, and with the difficult to play recharge ability.
The battle below features a Level 1 Temporal Master holding his own amidst a field of legendaries in a 99 mana battle
The Rule Set and Line Up
- Mana cap 99
- Standard Rules apply (Bronze League!)

Summoner - Raith
- Legionnaire Alva - excellent tank card with decent all round stats
- Kralus - an excellent second tank with massive health
- Brightwing - for repair
- Darius - excellent magic damage and resurrect
- Temporal Master - the challenge feature card!
- Couri lurker - awesome stats, really for taunt to draw fire!
Did my strategy work?
Beautifully, to see it in action click here!
- Round 1 - We trade blows for no losses
- Round 2 - I lose my Couri lurker and then my Temporal Master, unlucky due to scattershot, but he's resurrected to that's cool! I take out my opponent's ShieldBearer
- Round 3 - I take out the Elven Defender
- Round 4 - I take out the Time Master (i think that's the name) and then the Portal Spinner, and I lose my Legionnaire.
- Round 5 - but no worries now my opponent has only ranged card left in P1 so it's all over!
How important was The Temporal Master?
TBH he was always going to be a minor player amidst this awesome field of legendaries, but at least they kept him alive long enough for his recharge to work and do some useful damage!
But he still died and required Darius to resurrect him and that's even with void shield provided by Raith, but I guess he just got unlucky with the scattershot!
So happy days!
Final Thoughts: Temporal Master - worth buying?
Even though he is low mana, for me this is not a priority buy, especially not for lower leagues where shorter rounds may mean he doesn't even get a shot in!
And even up at higher levels I don't think it's worth it - stun and recharge - you've got to VERY lucky for that stun to kick in when you're only hitting once every three rounds and none of the other state are particularly impressive either!

If you don't yet play Splinterlands, why not give it a go?
