On the left, is a picture that my sister Maria sent me from Minnesota. I used to live in that frigid state. The picture shows what remains of a 4-way stop on the street corner, beside her house.
On the right, is where I live on the Oregon coast. It is nice and warm here and the sun is brightly shining.
For you sister, I write a short poem:
Like many children,
We have come to rest,
And left the sky,
An empty nest,
Heaven's cold,
We didn't know!
But, with time,
Our depth will grow.
For little ones,
We'll play together.
But for big ones,
We're just bad weather.

And for me, where I live, I wrote THIS poem:
GREEN! BRIGHT! SUN! WARM!
OMG! IT IS SO NICE OUT IN DECEMBER!!!
