I Wrote the Bitcoin Book I Wish I Had in 2017 | 10 Free Advance Copies

Ten free advance copies of The 0.1 Bitcoin Family Plan.

A personal book about building, protecting and passing on a small Bitcoin legacy

When I first entered crypto in 2017, I did what many newcomers did. I watched excited YouTube videos, followed projects I barely understood and bought into stories that sounded convincing because prices were rising.

I bought Bitcoin, joined ICOs and owned altcoins including XRP and ADA. I also spent a short period in Bitconnect after seeing videos that promised extraordinary daily returns. The people making those videos rarely made it clear that they earned money when viewers joined through their referral links. I started small and escaped with a limited loss. Many others lost far more.

Later, I sold my Bitcoin during a downturn. Looking back, the mistake was not simply that I sold. The real problem was that I had no written reason for owning it, no limit for the position and no plan for what I would do when the market turned against me.

In 2021, I returned to Bitcoin with a different approach. I began buying regularly, while adjusting the pace when the price changed. When the market fell sharply in 2022, I did not try to predict the bottom. I kept working within limits that my family could live with.

I am now a husband, a father of three and an ordinary long-term investor. I still believe Bitcoin has unusual potential, but belief is not a family plan. A family needs boundaries, records and a way forward if the person who began the plan is no longer there to explain it.

The manuscript is now finished. Before I publish it, I am giving ten Publish0x readers a free advance PDF. The details are below.

Why 0.1 Bitcoin

The number in the title is deliberately modest. It is large enough to require patience, yet small enough to sit beside cash reserves, pensions and other investments rather than replacing them.

It also creates an end point. Without one, every rise can feel like proof that you must buy quickly, and every fall can feel like a final opportunity to buy more. A fixed target forces the household to decide in advance how much risk is enough.

The book is therefore about more than accumulating Bitcoin. It asks whether the purchase fits the family budget, what would justify selling, how direct Bitcoin differs from exchange-traded exposure, how access should be protected and what happens if the owner dies or becomes unable to act.

The target is not a prediction of future wealth. It is a framework for giving a small, uncertain asset a defined place in an ordinary family economy.

The conversation I still need to have

Writing the book also forced me to admit what I had not yet solved. My children know that I am bullish on Bitcoin and that I own some. They do not know how the plan works or how they would eventually gain access.

I once tried to explain to my wife how she could find and access the Bitcoin if something happened to me. She lost the thread almost immediately. That was not her failure. It showed that the plan still depended too much on what was inside my own head.

The final chapters describe how I intend to change that through a simple family meeting, written instructions that reveal no secret by themselves and a regular test of whether the plan can be followed. I have written these chapters as work still to be done, because pretending the system is complete would undermine the reason for writing the book.

Ten free advance copies

I am offering ten complimentary digital advance reader copies in PDF format. If you are interested in Bitcoin, family finance, custody or inheritance, email [email protected] with the subject line Advance Copy.

I will send the PDF to the first ten readers who contact me and update this article when all copies have been claimed.

The copy is free, and there is no obligation to review it. I would value direct and honest feedback, including criticism. After publication, anyone who independently chooses to leave an Amazon review is welcome to do so. The decision, wording and rating are entirely theirs. Please mention that you received a complimentary advance copy.

The PDF is provided for personal reading and may not be sold, uploaded or redistributed.

What the book covers

The 0.1 Bitcoin Family Plan combines a personal account with a practical workbook. It covers buying rules, position size, bear markets, custody, exchange-traded products, taxes and records, selling decisions, serious illness, inheritance and the conversations a family needs to have.

It makes no price promise. I cannot know whether Bitcoin will be worth more when my children are adults. My reasoning is that a limited position could matter greatly if demand for a scarce digital asset grows, while the loss remains manageable if I am wrong. The plan only works when both parts remain true.

If that sounds like a useful and honest way to approach Bitcoin, I would be pleased to have you among the first readers.
