Bitcoin, soft drinks and Ethereum

At the end of the 19th century, there were many things that afflicted humanity: tuberculosis, colonial wars, 15 children in a family, 15-hour workday, ethical, religious, philosophical, ideological changes, twilight of kings, birth of modern parliaments and , on account of all this, stomach pain and poor digestion.

In all this mental storm, combined with bad food conditions, there were elixirs against heartburn, burning in the stomach, poor digestion and intestinal obstruction.

Think that in the late 19th century medications and procedures that we have at home - pain relievers and antipyretics, for example - did not exist back then. It was all a little experimentalism along with grandma's tea and some miraculous elixir bought on the nearest corner.

To give you an idea, marijuana was medicinal - and still is -, its fibers used as ship ropes, opiates such as morphine were still unrestricted and used freely. Cocaine would be invented by Bayern in the 20s of the 20th century. Antibiotics did not exist, they used ozone to sterilize operating rooms and, in case of gangrene, chopsticks in the mouth and saw the bone!

In the midst of this effervescence, at the end of the 19th century, carbonate elixirs were born: to remember carbonates they help digestion in the stomach and also help pepsin, an enzyme necessary for digestion. Also, with the belief that those who suffered from stomach diseases became weak, they were fortified with sugar and caffeine.

In short, there was a unique elixir, without alcohol (because all elixirs had alcohol content as a means of infusion and preservation), which was equivalent to a cup of coffee with sugar and still managed to make you digest!

Both of the most famous elixirs were born in American territory: Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola. Even the second kept the reference to the original remedy created and the first kept the reference to the glue nut ingredient.

From medicine to the stomach, gas was added, packaging was changed and, after a few decades, the two most famous soft drinks in the world were had.

The commercial journey, despite having the same medicinal origin, took different paths: The second focused on the American domestic market, investing in movie advertisements, public events, changing colors to identify the internal target audience. It became the largest supplier between the two, within American territory.

The first, however, in addition to taking a long time to expand, kept the red color, which was not pleasant between the decades after the first war until the end of the second war, when the brand was already consolidated with its red color. But the strategy of expanding to the international market, sending absurd quantities of the product to Europe under construction, turned it into a capitalist symbol, fighting - from red to red - with the then Soviet Union.

Everyone wanted to drink!

So much so that one of the most reprehensible habits, nowadays, equivalent to smoking, is to drink soda instead of water.

Of course, in the last two decades, both companies have invested heavily in sugar-free products, since diabetes, in the world, has become an endemic, along with obesity and hypertension.

It's part of pop culture: either the person is drinking one of these two soft drinks or beer from a brand that follows in the footsteps of the internationally famous brand!

This clash between soft drink companies is daily, with promotions to distributors and merchants, from free refrigerated counters - a strategy that dates back to the 1930s - to free volumes of some other product when purchasing a certain volume of soft drinks.

Even façade painting and social actions are part of this story.

Marketing strategies, finally; Business strategies to leverage other products with lower visibility! I remember that mabas companies not only own the manufacture of soft drinks: over the last few decades they acquired, merged, absorbed several other companies ranging from organic plantations, soccer teams, solar generators to satellites! They are conglomerates whose tentacles, whose ramifications, go far beyond simply selling soft drinks.

The strategy is simple: diversify to persevere. Diversify for , gaining more market, soda costs are so low, by the support of a larger logistics network and manufacturing optimization, give almost for free. It's even cheaper than water in some places, or even for free when buying other products!

Manufacture on an unimaginable scale, coupled with overt marketing and control of resources and logistics does it!

One has a taste, the other has a different taste, both compete for the market: normally the consumer who drinks one does not drink the other, with exceptions, of course!

If we look at the crypto-currency market, there are two: BITCOIN and ETHEREUM which have almost the same characteristics as soft drinks:

Both are not just them, they bring together new products such as tokens, DefI and even fake coins!

The soda's clash is similar to what happens in these coins: those who like one do not defend the other and vice versa. An example of a difference: Bitcoin has limited, restricted emission and Ethereum is not.

Bitcoin is ten times harder to mine than EThereum, which is why one coin is worth ten times less than the other.

They are the original binary pair of cryptocurrencies: not necessary but one suffers tied to the other. They value or devalue themselves at different times.

Of course, at these times, since May, distrust has been hanging in the sea of all the crypts and then they respond equally, as there is a flight of capital to safer businesses, such as oil, gold, silver, copper, silicon and aluminium, which are on the rise due to the high demand and low production ratio. This demand should only be resolved, if normalized, around 2023, when the pandemic will be under control and everything will be producing relatively well. Today the supply chain is in deficit, with high delivery times and very high prices for what is delivered.

In this way, more traditional investors withdraw the volumes of cryptocurrencies, which are falling due to several factors, and place these volumes in commodities, which, at that time, pay double what they pay for crypto=currencies.

At this point, patience and calm, in addition to reading all the markets, is essential!

The pandemic has tied not only the fate of most people to the virus and isolation but all markets operated by people.

Demands have normalized, just don't think it will be tomorrow, it won't be.

A new oil crisis is on the way and, in that dust, everything will be affected again.

Not if you drink one or another soda, but I suggest, as the doctors also suggest, that you drink water.....at least to calm down!

Good meal for everyone......don't forget to thank God, or your faith, for the food and crypto-currencies on your table today!
