On January 14th, Google wrote a post on the Chromium Blog stating that they are in the process of blocking all 3rd party cookies on Chrome. There are a lot of things that have to happen for them to make their self appointed deadline. Oh and that deadline is 2 years away in 2022.
Now I understand that Chrome is the largest user base of Browser in the world. So if they screw something up then Google is messing with one of their money makers. So yes Google does need time to iron out the kinks and work on this in the background. But what is crazy is that they are just starting now. Brave and Safari browsers have been blocking 3rd party cookies for years.
Here is the Google time table versus Brave.

The problem is that this runs much deeper then just Chrome team needs time to test this out and make sure it works. Brave is opened sourced, Google could literally use Brave codes and apply it to Chromium. But the bigger problem and why it took so long is that Google makes millions off tracking you.
Google Analytics has a 85% market share.
Gmail accounts for 16.4 of all e-mail addresses
Google Hosted Libraries account for more than 54% of all CDN usage.
Google Ads has a 96.25 market share
Google Tag Manager has a 99.1% market share
Like I said Google makes millions of tracking people and selling that data. Never forget Google is an ad company first and foremost. So if you are not using Brave Browser please do yourself a favor and install it right now.

And I will be the first to point out Brave's flaws, but their benefits greatly outweigh any flaw they have. I wish Password sync was implemented but understand it will take time. I would also wish they fix bookmark sync and it can be a little weird sometimes.
