The first eight days of the Rollercoin Season Two: Dark Star Season have been scandalous. 

Seriously, it has read like a crypto soap opera. Cheating. Fake Accounts. Lifetime bans. And more.

This is what we have seen develop.

Background:

Season Two started on 7 October and the Rollercoin community was so excited, then quite disappointed. The new season was obviously geared towards making money and less towards game play and user experience. The price jumped, the rewards lessened, and the experience to gain levels was harder to come by.

The onslaught of complains drove Rollercoin to re-adjust their tactics!

The game administrators dropped the games required for experience by half (now totaling 160 games) and made the Cryptohamster game far easier to defeat/win. The game now provides:

This was encouraging for a variety of reasons: 1) It means that they do care about your user experience 2) it means the people have the power to ignite change - Okay. Maybe #1 is more like, they need users and so they want you to stay, but #2 is still legit.

THOUSANDS OF ACCOUNTS GONE!

If you have a lot of time and want a pretty in depth article on the ban, check out this one by LizBMining. If not, here is the long and short of it. The Rollercoin team realized that the referral / invite user tasks in season one prompted a lot of referrals - not all legal or compliant to their terms of service. Also - they figured out how to find all the people using scripts and algorithms to play the internal games. So they are outta here!

They BANNED tons of accounts, by their count it was in the tens of thousands of accounts! Here is the original developer blog post. The best part of this was for the legitimate players. The removal of those accounts gave the rest of us a LARGER PERCENTAGE OF THE REWARD BLOCKS, increasing our income.

Bottom line here: DON'T CHEAT, DON'T USE SCRIPTS, NO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS.

4x DOGE COIN

We still have three days left to "this week" in Rollercoin. This week's extra reward was a four-time multiplier to the DOGE Coin Block size. This raised the block size reward to 80 DOGE, from 20 DOGE. While that is awesome, I still say that putting your hashpower in BNB (Binance) is the way to go. Since it's so new, NO ONE is in it and you have the ability to make bank while people are distracted in other places.

Why BNB and not RLT?

Here is the deal with Rollertoken - It is NOT a real-world cryptocurrency. It is ONLY usable within the Rollercoin universe. So you can buy things with it within the simulated miner world. But, you cannot transfer it into another cryptocurrency or to dollars. Additionally, it's value is tethered to the dollar so it will never change. At least with the other currencies you have the chance for the value to rise and you can always shift it to your wallet. That being said, keep in mind Rollercoin does not offer the best exchange rates within the game's exchange so you can lose some value there - but nothing like having 200 RLT sitting around and unable to transfer to the real world.

LOOTBOXES!

Last up, I tried out the lootboxes for you guys. 

I spent 20 RLT on a Limited Galaxy Explorer Case and earned a Nucleas miner at 100,000 Th/s. This was an EPIC win for me and it looks so cool on the mining rack. Then I dropped 10 on a Lucky Rollertoken box. This was not as cool. The stats don't lie. You have a ~33% chance EVERY TIME you open one of these to get only THREE / 3 RLT. I got 7 back. I don't think I will play those odds again.

TIPS:

As a note on perseverance, like many things, the payoffs get faster, bigger, and easier the longer you stay with it. Rollercoin seems to move slowly in the beginning, but then the benefits come quickly. Do not give up quickly. Give it a month to see if it's worth it to you and your own internal calculus. 

PLEASE remember to play at least once every 24 hours to maintain you current mining level/computer status.
