I think I have come up with the best Darkstar strategy for Rollercoin's second season.

Seriously, let's talk about how uninspiring this season has been now that we are almost 4 weeks into it.
First, the amount of levels were reduced to 15; the free prizes are not too encouraging to play for very long.
Second, the amount of experience points required per level was increased from 100 to 140, making it nearly twice as difficult to level up.
Third, the developers added a pay to earn level, requiring you to spend 40.00 RLT (equivalent to $40 USD) to earn the last 2 weekly tasks. Meaning they expect you to spend 320 RLT/USD to finish up the season, even AFTER you have spent 199.99 RLT/USD to get the season pass. That makes this season cost 519.99 RLT/USD.
Fourth, we now have to play 160 games (and win them all) to get max points.
Lastly, the prizes just are not so exciting this round.
So, I really wasn't joking about waiting it out. I don't mean to ignore the game entirely. I am just advocating for not killing yourself to play your games or find referrals this month (there are 37 days left). It is better to spend your time wisely accruing hashpower and getting your prizes from free levels (boosts and a miner if you are lucky). I suspect that the developers will have noticed the significant drop in players buying the pass and make next season more lucrative.
But - here is something that is pretty nice this season: Loot boxes.
As I explained in a previous post, I wouldn't go for the 10 RLT Lucky RLT loot box, I think (and experienced) that at least the 20 RLT Explorer case was worthwhile. I would figure the Halloween loot box was similar, but they both sold out in two weeks. And the developers DID NOT replenish them. It's a loss in my eyes.
But, hey. At least they have a cute Hamster Ghost for Halloween up. That's festive.
So to recap, do play! But, take it easy this month. If anything, enjoy that most people don't put their hashpower in the new BNB Binance Coin mining pool and earn more proportionately. Although not this week... they doubled the block size and everyone is there. Thankfully it ends in a couple of days and there will be only a third of the miners playing in that pool.
TIPS:
As a note on perseverance, like many things, the payoffs get faster, bigger, and easier the longer you stay with it. Rollercoin seems to move slowly in the beginning, but then the benefits come quickly. Do not give up quickly. Give it a month to see if it's worth it to you and your own internal calculus.
PLEASE remember to play at least once every 24 hours to maintain you current mining level/computer status.
