Market conditions haven’t been the kindest to most of us without a Whale’s Budget. Certain Play to Earn Projects saw their In-House Tokens Red Candle to new lows, while others took the time to leave with their users’ liquidity.
My focus has shifted into two sections: 1. Fun factor as a game should have 2. a longer term ROI for the games I have invested into for the means of potential gains. I cut my losses at the first Red Flag signs of decline into some of my old P2E ventures to make room for the new.
My Blockchain Gaming library pertains solely off of WAX, a Carbon Neutral, low cost of entry Blockchain capable of running a high volume of transactions in a small amount of time. (Read more about the WAX Blockchain in the first section of my Article about TAG)
Currently I am playing:
+ Realm - Story goes that the World has collapsed, and you are a part of a group that has taken on the insurmountable task of “Saving the World”.
The core mechanics behind this game is: Accrue Materials to stack up “Helpers” or Troops to take on Missions across the Globe, Upgrade your Resource Material mining rates, Housing for troops, Storage for Materials, etc.
The game grants you 2 Basic Leaders, and 1 Standard Helper to get you started. It is hard however to gain a ton of progress without acquiring a Higher Star Level Leader or Mission Specific Helpers with added bonuses.
As you complete missions, you will unlock the other Continents of the World. Stationing your spare Leaders on these Continents will start the mining of RLM, Realm’s Native Token. Make sure to keep up with at least one Mission daily to keep mining rates active!
+ The Adventurers Guild - I recently did an article more about TAG specifically and the basis of it. The link to the article can be found above in the first section.
What I will say here however, is that TAG holds a special place in my heart. Being a long time fan of RPG Games and Tabletop DnD sessions, this style of game hits home for me.
+ Wombat Dungeon - More of a mining farm utilizing NFTs you may have in your Wallet already, Wombat Dungeon uses these NFTs to build a Mining Power level for Mineral Harvesting.
These Minerals can be only used in game for Upgrade NFT purchases. If you connect with your WAX Wallet, the Upgrade NFTs will be sent to your Wallet which may be sold for WAX on the Secondary Market.
Independent Artists may submit their Collections for review to be possibly added to the game. Added collections will see their NFTs hold Mining Power in the Dungeons! Held NFTs take 24 hours to be available for reclaiming.
+ Forge Arena - One of the more Solid FPS Games to come out of the Blockchains in my experience. As of 10/1/22 they broke the news of Epic Games taking in Forge Arena to their Game Library.
Completing games in Forge Arena earn SCRAP. Time played + Amount of Kills in the game determine the amount of Scrap earned per game.
One of the most appealing aspects as a Web3 gamer for me, is the fact that you own your Gun Skins in Forge. All Skins you acquire via Secondary Market or Open via Crate is re-sellable with a fluctuating market.
+ Mining Network - Another Mining Farm that in the beginning showed solid ROI returns and investment prowess.
Now only deserves an honorable mention due to my attention I still give it.
Stake “Asic” NFTs to mine “Shares” which can be Transferred to “BTK”, BTK can be used to buy more Packs for additional Asics or swapped for WAX. Asics can also be sold via the Secondary Market.
I would do a lot of personal calculations via the Mining Network Calculator to see if an investment would be worth while for yourself.
+ Splinterlands - The Classic, Turn Based Card Strategy. I still play Splinterlands from time to time but I truly don’t dedicate past Silver League each Season.
Splinterlands is one of the more intensive games on the market given the strategies implemented and time it takes to truly learn.
+ Clashdome - A collection Mini Game style games playable with a Clashdome Citizen.
Various smaller tokens are required to upkeep your Clashdome citizen. Each game played on Clashdome can earn you LUDIO which is usable within the game itself or swappable to WAX.
