The Adventurers Guild or TAG for short, is a Text Based Old-School Style RPG housed within the TAG Discord Server.

Utilizing the WAX Blockchain, the game allows the usage and earning of NFTs, which you are then able to trade within the Community or on WAX’s various Trading Hubs.
(Such as AtomicHub or NFTHive)

Currently you ultimately need 3 Things to get started playing TAG:

• 1. WAX Account/Wallet
• 2. The Adventurers Guild Beta Pass (Acquirable via WAX NFT on Secondary Markets)
• 3. Discord Account/Access to their Discord Channel

1. What is WAX or WAXp?

For those unfamiliar with the blockchain, WAX is one of the leading Carbon Neutral Blockchains working off the EOS network.
Currently sitting at $0.05 at the time of writing this article, it is an extremely affordable Platform to get into.

NFT & Tokenized Blockchain Gaming is one of the biggest Power Houses driving the WAX Blockchain, given the Speed and Consistency WAX is able to perform at. Artists call this home as well, though it is clear to see the considerable difference in Market Volumes between Art & Play to Earn/Play and Earn Gaming. 

There are currently 3 Wallet Services available for use on AtomicHub, WAX's top Trading Platform for NFTs:

+ WAX Cloud Wallet - WAX.io's in house Wallet Service capable of only running WAX-based dApps and holding WAX Blockchain NFTs/Tokens. No central App, Internal components and settings can be viewed and edited off of the WAX Block Explorer. 
+ Anchor - Wallet Service capable of holding WAX NFTs/Tokens, with the option to purchase an EOS capable account from their App available on Desktop, Android, and iPhone via Greymass.
+ Scatter - Wallet Service of similar use case of Anchor, I will be transparent and say I have never used Scatter personally, and have read some unsavory reviews regarding the App. Would advise to read more upon their service yourself, should you find interest in using their Wallet.

While it is lacking in Gas Fees, the common transaction fee found on ETH Based Platforms, one will need to build a fair understanding of a few key terms to comfortably traverse the Sites & dApps within WAX's expanding Blockchain.

+ Staking, or in other terms locking away, WAX is required to build a reserve in NET, CPU, and RAM; All of Which are necessary in maintaining your Account.

+ Staked funds can be un-staked, or retrieved from your Wallet Tab Internal Configurations of a Block Explorer such as the one featured above.

+ NET - Amount staked determines the efficiency of handling Larger Transactions with more Data being moved in a single instance, measured in Bytes.
NET will replenish as your Transactions complete, with a "Cooldown" that may vary slightly on overall Transactions happening within the Network.
(An example of a Transaction which may require more NET: If one is distributing Multiple NFTs to Multiple Accounts in One Transaction, This transfer of Assets would require the ability to move a Larger Size of Data)

+ CPU - Time required to facilitate transactions, the moving of data on the Blockchain measured in Microseconds. 
The amount of Time stored within your Account's storage will replenish naturally over time. Staking more WAX to your CPU will allow a higher number of Transactions to happen in quick succession, requiring less "Cooldown" Time in between.  

+ RAM - Data Stored measured in Bytes, determines the Users ability to store "information".
This information pertains to everything from the NFTs you may create, to the data your Accounts on dApps will require saved and recorded. RAM is generally unable to be freed up unless it is a temporary storage of Data that can then be wiped.
(I.e. a Market Listing on a Trading Hub for an NFT: To create the listing and maintain it on their site would require a small number of Bytes, once the transaction has been completed or cancelled the contract will refund the Bytes used to store the listing on their Platform.)

CPU and NET directly effect each other when processing Transactions on the Blockchain. In layman's terms, CPU is how many Transactions you can push through in fast succession, while NET determines how large these transactions may be.

"How much CPU, NET, and RAM will I need to participate in WAX Blockchain Games?"

RAM: You should not need an over abundance of WAX staked into your RAM for purely Blockchain Gaming. I like to implement a "Load a little on and see how far it takes me" method, though I also upload for my own NFT collection which bleeds the same Supply of RAM.
I would estimate the user only playing a few Blockchain Games and Trading shouldn't need more than 50 - 100 WAX in RAM.
(Purely speculation as I have 600+ WAX staked for my Collection/Gaming/Trading experience)

As for CPU: That answer truly varies, as it all depends upon on how far you will take it, and how often you will be playing the Games/Submitting Transactions.
For example, I currently hold 196 WAX staked into CPU, and only 12 WAX into NET.
Other than Mass Un-Staking on NFT Farms, this amount of NET and CPU does me just fine as I play my daily or bi-daily NFT Games and the like.
As I disclosed above, I do own and facilitate my own NFT Collection which can be fairly extensive on Transactions, So you may find that you need way less CPU to function comfortably. It's best in my experience to Start a bit larger than maybe intended, as you are able to un-stake your funds at a later time.

2. The Adventurers Guild / How to Get Started

The Adventurers Guild -- (Currently in Closed Beta Testing) -- Is a Free to Play Text-Based RPG created by SixPM Software. 
The Game itself is fully integrated and playable within the Official TAG Discord Server. Utilizing the Honeycomb Verification system -- A WAX Community Tool created specifically for Discord by the SixPM team -- you begin your Adventures within Guildtown. 

+ During Closed Beta, Users will need to Hold a Beta Pass for The Adventurers Guild, Available on WAX Secondary Markets. At the current time of writing this article, Beta Passes are sitting under $3 in WAX. After Beta testing ends, the Game will be Free to Play.



**MAKE SURE your Beta Passes are from Orange Verified TAG on AtomicHub and not a Fake!!**

After acquiring your Beta Pass - Join the TAG Discord Server and get yourself Verified using the Honeycomb Bot in the #Start-Here section. Once verified, follow the Message presented to the #Game-Commands Channel where you are able to begin your Adventures. 


TAG Main User Interface

After you have Set your Alias, and if my memory serves me correctly your base appearance, you are able to navigate the Main User Interface of the Game. From here, you are able to View your Profile, Inventory, Pets, and set out on Adventures. 

+ From within the Profile, you can view/change your Stats, Combat Stats, Equipment, Equipped Skills, and Profession.

Upon Leveling up your Adventurer in Quests or Encounters, you may increase your Skills. 
Viewing your Combat Stats will give you an idea of your Various Resistances, Energy Regen, etc.

+ Professions are Classes for your Adventurer unlocking at Level 3, which directly effect the Skills you would like to Utilize.
Professions also have a separate Experience Bar from your Main Account Level, gaining their Own Exp. from Adventures.

Professions may be changed but hold a Cooldown Period of 24 Hours before you are able to change your Professions again!
Each hold a different Set of Perks for Levels 1 - 10, with a Permanent Mastery Bonus applied to your Account for reaching Level 10.

Other Professions include:

- Adventurer (Starter Profession)
- Caster (Magic Based)
- Defender (High Dmg Resistance via Armor)
- Fighter (High Strength Damage)
- Rogue (Sneaky Sneaky)

+ Pets are NFT Companions with Various Benefits that are available through In-Game Events and Sales for Guild Token & WAX. 

+ Adventures is where the Game really starts, containing Patrols, Random Quest, and Quest Journal. 
I would not recommend attempting Random Quest without Equipment. When I first started, I purchased a Training Sword and went to town on Patrols until I gained a few levels to increase my Base Stats. If you are going all out on the Secondary Market to start and have equipped your Character with Higher Stat Gear, it wouldn't be impossible to start Random Quests at a lower level. 

Completing tasks within the Game earns Crafting Material NFTs and GUILD token, the native token of TAG.

+ GUILD can be further used to purchase NFT drops for Pets, Equipment, etc. At 25 GUILD you can unlock the Basic Crafting Pass, allowing you to Combine the various Crafting Materials you collect along your adventures into new Equipment. 

Guild Token is currently sitting at 1 GUILD = ~0.25 WAX

Occasionally your Quests will provide Mystery Chest loot items aside from the Normal Mob based loot. When opened, these will provide a piece of Random Mob loot, or a Scroll for a Specific Named Quest.

Thankfully, the Dev Team behind TAG are dedicated to making the Gaming Experience fun and fair for the Community. Occasionally you will be asked to complete Captcha Questions within your actions to help prevent Botting and Macros.

For the overall cost of entry, I have to give a Solid recommendation into giving TAG a a try. The ease of being able to play from Phone or Desktop is perfect for Casual or more Dedicated players.

At the very least, keep this game on your Radars for when Free To Play fully drops!
