Them ads and trackers are wanted in these parts.

Ads are good. And ads are bad. It all depends on if you're the company or you're the consumer.

Everyone hates ads. Yet we all rely on them.

If not, how would you know that the new iPhone is out? How would you see it in all it's sleek and overpriced glory? Through ads of course!

But what if you could get paid for watching dem ads?

Yes, really!

Here's Brave and BAT explained in less than a hundred words.

Max wants to watch YouTube. But he's sick of all those annoying ads. He just wants to enjoy his MKBHD in peace.

So he downloads this new browser that he just found out about.

He turns on the "Brave rewards" feature, and starts watching YouTube.

Sure enough, there are no ads within the video. In fact, there are no ads on the site.

Max is also a lover of TheVerge. So he visits the site. He gets there, except this time he can actually tell the content apart from the ads. Nice.

Max continues this for a while. About a month.

And he keeps on seeing these things that look like ads. But unlike regular ads, these are super unobtrusive and very beautifully designed. Of course he clicks a few, since they're related to his interests.

So one day he noticed a figure at the top right. These are his earnings.

What? He earned money using a browser?

So he tries to withdraw. Error. KYC wall.

So he does the KYC and within a few moments, his BAT tokens are in his wallet. Feeless, of course.

He jumps to Coinbase, does another round of KYC, and sure enough a few moments later, his account balance has increased by a few dollars.

Block ads and get paid for it. That's basically Brave in a nutshell.
