What? Are you seriously still using Chrome?

Are you kidding me?

"Well, no", you say. "Chrome is the best browser out there. And I don't need a few BAT tokens for free. I don't care about getting money back. I just want to browse the web"

"Ok", I answer you. "Brave isn't all about the free BAT tokens and whatnot. There are other positive aspects to it".

"Oh really?" you say. "Tell me more".

So here I am, telling you more.

Weird conversation aside, there are other reasons why you should use Brave, apart from the fact that the browser gives out free BAT tokens. Here are 3 of the strongest reasons.

1. It saves data.

Have you ever checked the data you use through your browser? I have.

I started using Brave in January, but I had previously used Chrome in December.

I checked my data usage both times, because I'm a really weird person.

I saw that for the whole month of December, I used about 7GB of my data plan on Chrome. When I was using Brave, I used just 5GB. That's 2GB of data saved, and with exactly the same usage.

Brave saves your data a lot. Chrome has a "data saver" built in, and for clarity sake I had this turned on during my testing. This data saving feature is a blessing for people in developing countries, because data plans there are really costly, and they can only afford them once in a while.

2. It's really fast.

A side effect of all that data saving and blocking of ads is an exponential increase in speed. Brave is about 1.5x faster than Chrome in my own testing of opening up the Verge website(it took about 2 seconds on Chrome, and a fraction of a second on Brave)

This is because theVerge has a lot of ads on their site, and Chrome loads all these ads, one by one. But Brave blocks all these ads, and scripts and therefore speeds up your browsing significantly.

It also keeps your phone free of all those scripts, and reduces the tracking don't by sites you visit. Isn't that great?

3. It blocks ads REALLY well

I have used an ad blocker before on Chrome. It did block some ads, but some sites became unusable because they don't allow users with ad blockers.

Visiting those sites with Brave was pure bliss. The site loaded up magestically and quickly, and I didn't get blocked out. I could also watch YouTube videos without ads, even though the sign for showing ads(those yellow bars on the progress bar) were showing.

Clickable ads were also extinct while using YouTube. It felt like a new experience again.

Those are 3 reasons why you should switch to Brave, and I didn't even mention BAT!
