I think in the past before the discover of the Merlin services for video transcription, it was anonying to take screenshots for youtube videos just to get what is written in captions. Or even taking down notes what was written in captions.

In reality, this is an exhausting work and would let a video of 10 minutes taking arround 50 minutes to be completed because extensions to take screenshots from youtube does not take screenshot with captions or subtitles.

Please note that it may not work for videos without subtitles.

Steps:

1 - Open youtube videos and be sure to be logged in at the same time to Merlin services

2 - Click on summarize this or transcript this depending on your needs

3 - There is ANotepad online editor where you could have text to pdf changed like this:

4 - If your english is not good I recommand to use Reverso translations services to translate to the language that you understand the created PDF for transcription.
