i started my gpu crpyto mining journey last year in october 21 in the middle of the last "bull run"; first i only had one gpu and after a short time i had a 6 gpu mining in the basement of my parents house.
Of course i was mining ETH.
I liked it very much, earnings were great despite living in a country with very high electricity costs (EU).
Everything was fine, i hodled all my earnings, ok, most of my earning, with some earnings i started to "play around" with, like some defi nonsense, lost some of the money, some i got back and with some i made some money.
Then, the Terra Desaster hit all of us and the "bear market" started.
My earnings were going down very much, but i still made more "money" then the rig costs in electricity and i said to myself, "im fine, still better than buying ETH".
So i still had hope in gpu mining.
But then the Merge happened, i thought i just switch my rig to another coin and everything would be "fine" again.
But i was very wrong, gpu mining is now dead in my country ( i think in most countries now ), of course it can come back and it may come back, but not in a long time.
Two weeks within the Merge i realized that there was no other coin that can "generate" as much value as ETH could do and i would always mine at a lost, so i sold all my gpus and got a 40% return of my initial investment; i think thats not bad when you calculate how much i made while mining it.
But now i had no more "passive income", nothing to play around with. In this mining time it became my hobby to find "solutions" on how to exchange electricity costs into more money, like running a master node or something like this.
So i created a storage node, where i host disc space for Siacoin and Storj.

And thats it, i daily transfer around 800 points to Freecash and that are 80 cents, if you multiply it with 31, its around 25 Dollar extra each month.
Now we talk about the payout methods, Freecash has nearly every option to do a payout; bitcoin, eth, doge, paypal, litecoin, or amazon gifts cards etc etc etc... The lowest threshold is via Dogecoin, the first payout must be 2 dollar, the others after that only 1,50 dollar.
I run this on my storage node 24/7 and on an old laptop, you can also run this on your windows mining rigs ( if there are still running ) no problem at all.
