Though the government had blocked Kucoin and 9 other crypto exchanges in India in January 2024, it appears that Kucoin was accessible since 22 March 2024.
Many of the Kucoin account holders in India were not aware that the crypto exchange had been unblocked in India. Only when they tried to access their account and did some research, they found that they could access Kucoin crypto exchange in India since it is FIU compliant.

It appears that many Indian crypto holders are facing problems with Indian crypto exchanges. Instead of just asking for PAN and photo verification, they asking for a large number of documents. Additionally some of the exchanges are not listing some cryptocurrencies like Litecoin which is used extensively for transactions due to the lower transaction fee. Many of the exchanges do not realize that many of the crypto holders are receiving only a small amount as payment and would like to reduce their fees to the extent possible.

One of the largest Indian crypto exchange is openly cheating some online workers, asking them for national id of the sender for a small amount like $6. Some of the online workers, find that their payment of BTC worth $6 has not been released by one of the largest Indian crypto exchanges since January 30, 2024 giving flimsy excuses. When the online workers spending their time cannot access their payment for the work they did because the exchange is not releasing the payment received, they feel frustrated and demotivated .

Since Publish0X was paying to the Kucoin account till last year, many members still have a Kucoin account. The balance remains intact. However Kucoin wants another KYC done with a smartphone or computer with camera. Till the KYC is again done, the Kucoin account holders cannot use most of the features of Kucoin. Indian citizens who find that they are being cheated by the powerful top Indian cryptoexchanges may now consider using Kucoin for converting their crypto payment to Indian currency.
