The Wall

It was a daunting challenge.

It loomed ahead , like an immense wall, Grey dark and undiscovered. Once seen, we were already in its shadow. Too cold for t-shirts, though this constant walking ahead. We groaned, fainted, hunched.  Rain like tears fell on the backs of our necks.  Is this what God wants for us, we said, To fall forgotten on the dirt, Victimized by the unknown.  But now, we're through, tired and disheveled, Still cold and wet, my feet ache. My hands bandaged,  Just a confused lone walker In an unmapped land at an unmarked time.  They are still around, somewhere, probably Feeling the same as I.

One step forward, two steps back.
One step forward, two steps back.

We can say by metaphysics that our lives are planned and predictable, though seeing the events and situations in our lives in the reality of what they are ontologically there is no interpretation of them that implies greater meaning. From a nihilistic point of view we do not have any lives and there is no meaning. So this is about my views on life.
