BitSpark is a "Bankless Money Transfer" or blockchain payments services have plan to launch a Philippine Peso or PHP stable coin called peg.PHP.

Reported on April 25, 2019 in Makati, Philippines. Bitspark is releasing a cryptocurrency pegged to the Philippine Peso (PHP). 

This is the first ever company that will use peg.PHP and reportedly by an Australian-Founded technology start-up based in Cambodia, Okra Solar.


Okra Solar will provide the off-grid solar solutions to remote regions,cities, and any areas in Philippines. They will deploy peg.PHP through Bitspark's payment network.

Since 2014, Bitspark has enabled customers to cash in and cash out cryptocurrencies across Asia and Africa.


You can now cash out to the Philippines via partner banks and outlets ex. Cebuana Lhuillier and Bitspark will release a mobile app wallet soon "peg.PHP"

The same with other coins/token and fiat will be available on the said wallet app. Okra Solar will accept peg.PHP for customer paying the bills for fast transactions. 

Last March 19 2019 the report said that they will signed a letter intent with IBM to Launch a Peso-Backed Stablecoin upon approval of Philippine regulators.
