If you a gamer you should know already about unreal Engine V it's brand new technology that will be fully running in 2021
From what we know now the engine will have amazing technology called Nanite.
Nanite :
Virtualized micropolygon geometry frees artists to create as much geometric detail as the eye can see. When you watch demo you will see billions of triangles in textures and as for me it looks really amazing. Demo is on PlayStation 5 so I think next gen consoles can be a huge step between past and present graphic technology.
Second thing is Lumen a dynamic light technology that react to scenes and light that take part in. Just realize light in real time no lightmaps no baking needed.
You should watch demo and take closer look it is really amazing thing comming personally I lm waiting for Unreal engine V used in VR.
