The world is hard on its own, everyone knows
Yet we elect people at the helm of affairs to oversee things
They turned around and set themselves as gods
Every politician seem to be the same everywhere
There must be a memo they pass around
That is unnoticed to us, the citizens
They turned themselves to deities
They feel they are untouchable
And even heads above the shoulder for everyone else
Forgetting their mandate and their vow to serve
It's such a shame that those we trusted with so much
Have shown themselves to be so shrewd and unreliable
They are biting more than they can chew
Biting the fingers that fed them and led them
What do we say to these issues?
They've grown so big as the Iroko Tree
Deeply rooted in corruption in their own case
Lacking in credibility and human values
There is no voice of reason from them
No plan in place to seek advancement for others
How did we get ourselves to this point, as humans?
Where we value material things over the welfare of others
Constantly chasing the money at a price so grave
Gradually dying to their conscience with no end in sight
Who will sound a voice of reason to the unbothered?
Who will gong the bell and turn them back on track?
They are far gone, deeply rooted in evil, just watch their back
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
