Hey everyone! Welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, today I'll be making my second post for this week, this weeks Battle Mage Secrets Challenge launched yesterday, but since Friday is a busy day for me I'm making the second post on Saturday mostly, it's just after 4 p.m. so the season has just ended actually! My main account got a total of 45k glint and it's difficult to choose what to buy with it since my soulbound deck isn't complete yet, so I decided to get two legendary draws but I didn't get any I was hoping for 😅 I do have a couple of legendaries at 2 BCX now, so one more to level them up, just keep on grinding!

With the remaining glint I bought major chests, but I only got a few common and rare's from it,a bunch of potions and about 5k in merits, so I was able to buy 3 more Gladius cases with it since I had a few merits in stock, nothing special there too but nothing too bad either, I got a Gold Foil Orella Abadon and.... Quora!
Funny fact is, I was playing Splinterlands for... how long do we have Gladiators now, 18 months? And all this time without Quora, until last month, I FINALLY pulled her, and now, only 3 or 4 weeks later another one 😅, ok ok, one more and then I can get her to level 2!

This weeks Battle Mage Secrets Challenge...

Ok, I'm doing it again, rambling about my favorite game 😁 let's get on with today's main topic!
This weeks challenge is about the Lost Legendaries ruleset, in which no legendary monsters are allowed on the battlefield, but legendary summoners still are allowed.

The battle I want to share for this post is a 31 mana Wild League Earthquake / Counterspell / Lost Legendaries battle with the Water and Dragon splinters locked, this is where the most very fast monsters are so that's one less thing to worry about. With this ruleset combination, the Fire splinter is the least suited for this because it doesn't have a lot of flying monsters, both Earth and Death have plenty but a lot of them are magic so that's not the best option, so the choice is easy for me, Life with General Sloan, at the same time this is also the best option for my opponent...

First look at the battlefield:

Well I was right in calling the Splinter / Summoner but then again that was pretty obvious, if this is a bot it's one with a good deck, I'm really at a disadvantage here! We have about the same set-up bit not entirely, from the first look, I don't think I'll win this one!

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: General Sloan - reason: +1 Ranged damage.
• First position: Gargoya Lion - reason: Flying, Void.
• Second position: Pelacor Conjurer - reason: Flying and fast, good HP for only 2 mana.
• Third position: Celestial Harpy - reason: Flying, opportunity, only 2 mana.
• Fourth position: Thunderbird - reason: yes, another Flyer!
• Fifth position: Pelacor Arbalest - reason: High damage double striker, Flying.
• Sixth position: War Pegasus - reason: High damage, Shatter, Flying.

The Battle:

Round 1: Well, good thing the enemy enraged Lion hit armor, so his Lion died and mine is still standing, but just barely.

Round 2: A lot of misses on both sides, nothing really happened besides I lost my tank too.

Round 3: Two kills on both teams, considering I'm at a level disadvantage, it's going pretty well, I am worried though because once my conjurer dies, Thunderbird won't be able to fire. For the moment my damage output is higher though because Disintegrator isn't doing anything besides getting earthquake damage.

Round 4: Ooh! Gargoya Devil missed! dodging a 5 damage attack is pretty big at this stage of the fight, one more please! 😆

Round 5: Yeah!! HE MISSED AGAIN! 🤣 O well sometimes you just need a little luck, and my guys made good use of this and killed the entire team.

Well that's it, back to ranked battles, I need to drain energy so it doesn't get to waste! And to earn glint and SPS of course 🤑
