$3.5 Million From 1000 BTC KuCoin on the Move

$3.5 million worth of stolen assets linked to a KuCoin hack have been moved via 3 separate transactions that occurred on Nov. 4, according to Whale Alert.

  • Over 1000 Bitcoin (BTC) was stolen from a KuCoin hack on September 25, along with Tether (USDT), Litecoin (LTC), XRP and other assets
  • A total of $3.5 million was transferred from the address linked to the hack in three separate transactions
  • The hackers had swapped the stolen assets for various tokens, and yesterday’s transactions included DX ($2.4 million), Dragonchain ($1 million) and Request Network ($154,000) 
  • KuCoin claims to recover approximately $204 million from the hack; the transfers had occurred despite saying at the time that they had discovered the identity of the hackers and were working with law enforcement to apprehend them
  • There has been no official comment yet from KuCoin on this latest development
