Tomorrow is a Big Day for Ripple & Crypto

The SEC deadline for Ripple to unlock emails from 2012 is tomorrow Feb. 17 '22, in the event that you have not been monitoring the SEC vs Ripple (XRP) case, the case looked like it was going Ripples way. Back in Dec. '20 the SEC filed suit against Ripple for raising tons of cash ($1.3B), the cash is not an issue the kink is that the SEC claims Ripple should have registered as a Security to take such actions.  So the SEC had been and continues to be SUPER VAGUE on which Crypto's are securities and which not. The other wrinkle in the case is there are certain SEC employees which had been buying, selling and trading XRP and for some reason they felt like they were entitled to take such actions.  Anyone else see Conflict of Interest here?

Back to 2012, the sealed emails could hold the smoking gun to impact the courts findings vs Ripple (XRP), SEC alleges that they warned Ripple via email they should not take this course of action to raise funds or get the piss sued out of you. (My verbiage cuz its more fun than legalese all day long) 

Makes one wonder how much time SEC allowed Ripple to adjust course prior to Lawsuit threats?  Raising money takes time, effort, probably 1000's of pages of paperwork to file and send to 400 different US regulatory bodies. 

How much has the SEC improved since '12? or Even since '20 you should ask yourself.  Don't confuse all the action taken since our buddy and best Pal Gary Gensler took over. Yeah, he is kicking azz and taking no names over there at Secure Employment Commission (SEC).  To the point there is still NOT a hard and fast definition for a judge to use as precedence in the world of Crypto. 

Impact to other Cryptos? In case you have been asleep since Oct. '21 the Crypto market is looking for an excuse to have a major sell off. I envision Ripple getting crushed in court could be just that match to the bonfire. I am not saying I want this to happen but, it could happen.

Summary - Better buckle up buttercup this ride could get a bit bumpy.
