Walking around the park, I noticed several trees whose presence is rare and sometimes unclear. This is the case with walnut walnut, which was not planted in the park.

Walnut in the Silesian Park is probably the aftermath of feeding animals, mainly squirrels.

It has been known for a long time that squirrels often hide food in various caches and forget about them. It is also often said that someone has a squirrel memory, which means that they do not forget about many things.

An interesting fact, however, is the fact that the term "squirrel memory" is positive and means exactly the opposite, namely that you have an excellent memory. Squirrels, despite the small brain, remember hundreds, if not thousands of hiding places, and their attention is missed by a small promil.

Returning to walnut, although he was planted accidentally and is not cultivated, he has very prosperous fruits in the form of large, still green nuts. Maybe in autumn I will come to harvest that will be useful for feeding birds.

Another rare tree in the park is Catalpa, also called Surma. I have located five positions of this beautiful tree so far.

Catalpa is a decorative tree, often bred in gardens, due to the beautiful honey and extremely aromatic flowers. Usually, in our climate, Katalpa blooms in June. This year, due to the delayed spring, the flowers can be found in mid - July.

Catalpy flowers are often white, and in a goblet throat we can see purple and yellow discoloration. However, an intense and pleasant smell effectively waves all kinds of insects.

When the Catalpy flowers overgrow, they turn into long brown, woody pods, which over time twist and shoot seeds.

These are beautiful wato trees in your garden, I am in possession of a small seedling, for now in home mode.
