
Pseudomerulius aureus - Mushroom spread or spread out, often with small hats. Thicknesses up to 2 mm. Hymenophore, irregularly pitted, cavernous-lamellar, coarsely labyrinthine. Colors golden-yellow, yellow-orange, yellow-brown. The shore is brighter, initially white. Upper surface in the youth velvety, whitish, later smooth orange, orange-brown.
Occurrence: In dry deciduous and coniferous forests, on dead, barkless wood. Prefers warm and sunny places. From lowlands to mountains. Throughout the year. Rare.
Value: Unaffected fungus.
