Hymenochaete cruenta - A one-year or two-year-old mushroom. It can reach a thickness of up to 5 mm thick. Flat outstretched, rarely spread-bent, partially protruding from the ground with small caps up to 5mm wide, their visible then the upper core-brown surface, slightly felt and indistinct, concentrically zoned. In the shape of a young circular or oval, then oblong or diffuse. It can reach a diameter of up to 350 mm. Reddish, red-purple and brick colors. The border is thin, vivid red, sometimes with a narrow white or yellowish band around the perimeter.

Hymenium (genus layer) smooth or slightly nodular, with age irregularly cracked, dry, hard. On small bumps, sharp bristles protruding above the stands, visible under the microscope.

Flesh thin, up to 3 mm thick, dry, hard. The colors are brick, brownish. In reaction with KOH, it turns black. Smell and taste not very noticeable.

Occurrence: In coniferous forests, in mountainous and mountainous areas, on freshly dead coniferous wood, especially fir wood. Rare.

Value: Unaffected fungus.
