Crepidotus applanatus - A one-year-old mushroom attached to the side. Diameter 10 to 30 (50) mm. In shape initially lingual, later fan-shaped or hemispherical. When young, with an indistinct stem, residual or invisible in adult fruiting bodies.

A hat when young off-white, with age cream, beige, finally brown. Hygrophanous surface, smooth, matte, short hair at the base. The edge is sharp, initially incurved, slightly striate, when moist and in older sporocarps.

Lamellae broad. Off-white colors when young, later cream-colored, finally brown-brown, red-brown with spores.

Stem when young, short, indistinct, later rudimentary or without it.

Thin flesh. Initially off-white, later cream. Smell and taste weak, difficult to determine.

Occurrence: In loose deciduous and mixed forests, on deciduous wood of deciduous trees, beech, maple sycamore, ash, rarely on coniferous. It grows in groups from August to October.

Value: Inedible mushroom.
